Opening Up

I feel very vulnerable opening up but I can’t sell this coffee without sharing with you what it really means to me.

This coffee is the result of the experiment of exploring the true reach of my life. I want to know who is inside me, who is the man inside the man.

I really want this company to take off and for the coffee to sell but I also am not really interested in promoting it in any way that is not truly authentic and organic. I love this coffee and I want to share it, period. Whoever wants to try it go ahead, whoever doesn’t no problem. Competitors? I don’t do competition, I do love and peace. I’m living off-grid in the forest, I can grow slowly—I don’t chase Benjamin Franklins anymore.

I worked in the advertising industry for 15 years. It was fun and there were lots of great people, parties and inspirational work, but at once point I could not unsee the simple fact that the world needs to slow down. Advertising is clearly an artificial way to accelerate consumption. It’s mostly unnecessary and redundant at this point. Anything we need we can find. There is no need to swallow more ads, or more media. Shows, movies, are alternate realities that are not real. I think it’s time to live the most HD 3D Blue Ray experience you could ever have— your own life—the ultimate video game.

You know what I'm craving? Authenticity. I want to be real, I don't want to filter anything, and I want to be surrounded by people that feel that same way too. I want to lay back, enjoy life, drink great coffee and get inspired so all the muses of inspiration use me to come to this world. I'm here to create and to enjoy and be in peace.

The muse, the girl in the Troubardour logo told me in a dream that she was going to take care of me. That all I had to do was put her out there. I believe in her. She's tattooed in my right arm. I'm going to go as deep as I can in this coffee adventure, and I want to enjoy it. I'm just a messenger with something to share.

The only advertising I want to participate in is the truth. I believe that saying the truth attracts the people that need to be in your life and repels those that don't.

So I'm going to thread that line carefully and I hope that the Troubardours, all those of you that are there drinking the coffee and being part of our micro-world, that you purchase the coffee not just because it tastes good, but because it's a connection to other good people that all are ready to create and participate in an incredible rebuild of our world. It's about a group of people whose glass is always full, people who like to dream, laugh, relax, look at sunsets and moons, make out, take naps, love with intensity, eat good natural local fresh food, and do any and all of the things that give you joy.

May the best years of our lives be yet to come.
