The purpose of coffee

Let's unlearn that the purpose of coffee is to wake up. Let's take that thought and throw it out into the waste basket. Let's put new information in its place.

The purpose of coffee is to seduce you, to drink a beverage that is so natural, so connected to the earth, such a product of the sun, wind and rain that it volts you with the energy of nature.

When coffee swirls inside your mouth it should feel like when someone you love caresses your hair and your scalp with their fingers. All points of contact with your coffee should bring deep rich pleasure.

When we drink coffee, we are making a beverage out of the the seed of a fruit. We are taking what was going to potentially be a new plant, and drinking its content and flavors. The plant used water to grow and now we are using water again to extract its nectar back to you.

Respect your coffee, the process, the ingredients, the water, the cup, the vessels, and it will reward you with the muses of inspiration. A mentality of abundance involves giving ourselves the best of the best.
